Brooke with her recruit.

Meet Brooke, a Marine Corps girlfriend. Despite the distance, Sandboxx has helped her stay connected with her recruit.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your recruit.

My recruit and I are from Michigan and we are both recent High School graduates who are boyfriend and girlfriend. My recruit’s branch is the Marines.

How did sending letters with Sandboxx help you connect and stay in touch with your recruit during basic training?

Sending letters with Sandboxx helped me feel closer to my recruit. It made me feel like they are still here with me. I am able to send pictures with my letters and it makes the letter more fun.

How did you first hear about Sandboxx? After using it for a while, what do you think about Sandboxx?

I heard about Sandboxx through my recruit’s Sergeant. After using Sandboxx for a while, I found the app very convenient and easy to use.

What are your recruit’s future plans?

My recruit will further their career in Marine reserves in whichever job they choose to do. I will further my education at Oakland University.
