As we head into Juneteenth we have information about when your loved one’s basic training mailroom will be closed for the holiday, so that you can make sure to get your letters to your recruit before the long weekend. The dates below are subject to change depending on the needs of the Command.
In addition, the Sandboxx print room is closed Monday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

Army Basic Training
Army Basic Training Bases are closed Friday, June 16 – Monday, June 19, 2023.
If you are sending letters to an Army basic training mailroom, the last day to send your letter before the Juneteenth weekend is Wednesday, June 14 at 4:30 pm ET.
Letters that are sent after 4:30 pm ET on Wednesday, June 14 through Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will not be delivered until Tuesday, June 20. Letters that are sent after Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will be delivered on Wednesday, June 21.
Marine Corps Basic Training
Parris Island is closed Friday, June 16 – Monday, June 19, 2023.
If you are sending letters to Parris Island, the last day to send your letter before the Juneteenth weekend is Wednesday, June 14 at 4:30 pm ET.
Letters that are sent after 4:30 pm ET on Wednesday, June 14 through Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will not be delivered until Tuesday, June 20. Letters that are sent after Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will be delivered on Wednesday, June 21.
San Diego is closed Monday, June 19, 2023.
If you are sending letters to San Diego, the last day to send your letter before the Juneteenth weekend is Thursday, June 15 at 4:30 pm ET.
Letters that are sent after 4:30 pm ET on Thursday, June 15 through Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will not be delivered until Tuesday, June 20. Letters that are sent after Monday, June 19 at 8 am ET will be delivered on Wednesday, June 21.
Quantico is closed Monday, June 19 – Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
